G has asked for things we would like to work on for next week!

Ben has put forward the following:

*Backhand passing

*Horseshoe (i would suggest the same as our warm up - 1, 2, 2on1, 2on2, 3on2)

Slightly off topic, but did you guys do this week in training?

Standing in front of the net and getting people out of the front of the net (legally) is always good.

I always think we need more work on breakout plays, y'know where a forward is waiting at the hashes or the blue waiting to make a chip-on pass after the defensemen makes the first pass.

He demonstrated how to move a player legally, when we completed a 2 on 2 mini - scrimmage

Did a fair bit on breakout plays, in fact most of the session was dedicated to playing up the ice!

Perhaps a little technique with different shots would be good to know, especially on the move towards the net.

Positional play in the offensive zone.

Faceoff plays.

Backwards skating.

Pivots.

Hockey in general! lol only kidding, but some of the above would be useful!

Dammit! Sod's law that it would in the session I miss. Ah well I guess I'll just have to keeping elbowing people from behind to move them out of the slot and forwards, look at the your skates cos that's where my first pass is going - at speed! :D
