I have to say, i think it has + and - points in general:

Positive points:
good for us all to give opinion to team issues
good place to keep everyone up to date
could stop 101 emails flying about

Possible Negative points:
People not using it
Another form of contact to check
Possibile airing of 'dirty laundry in public'

As I have said in the past though, see how it goes and make a decision on the back of it's success or failure.

I really like it. Eventually it would be good to have one on our own website but for the moment it's a great way to get communicating without having to check our e-mails all the time!

Stealing Rob's formatting

Positive points:
Good spread of topics

Possible Negative points:
I'll admit I prefer the look of the in-built forum better

If a moves ever occurs is there a way to export threads between forums?

To be honest i have thought about this a little and *if* this does become a useful forum that is used regularly, then we would have to upgrade our webiste account to cope with the badwidth! Where as keeping it here is free.

But i do agree, i also like the other forum's look. I am also anal in liking things all in the same place. Although, we could easily put a link in from the website to here!

It's great, I think we should have a forum, as it provides a central resource for us all... however, I'd say... we could do without the adverts (later I guess)..

I run an ISP, so hosting won't be an issue - if we wanted to, we could move the hosting, so we don't have a free webs address etc, but then it'd be re-setting up of the forums, etc.

I'm a developer, so would be able to lend a hand with the website - but obviously, it's hassle getting everythign setup again. I can do it, but I know that you chaps have put a lot of work into getting the current site and forums up, so don't want to step on toes etc.
